What is Rapid Transformational Therapy® ?

 Rpaid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) is a pioneering therapy developed by Marisa Peer. RTT® is a standalone therapy combining the very best of hypnosis, psychotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ensuring rapid results.

What is the difference between Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) and Hypnotherapy?


Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) embraces many of the positive aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy that are known to produce a transformative effect on clients: the use of trance, regression and hypnotic conditioning. However, RTT® goes beyond this, diagnosing what works with clients to build a new therapeutic approach. Unlike many hypnotherapies, RTT® does not rely solely on positive reinforcement but brings awareness to the root cause of our issues, then the positive reinforcement can be used whilst the mind is receptive and ready for transformation.

How does it work?
Hypnosis is not magic, it’s science! It works by creating a burst of alpha brain waves that are the same as when you’re in deep REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. This is what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and very fast and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too! Watch my video for more explaination.


What does it feel like?
The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation or sleepy feeling and others don’t. Generally, most people feel relaxed, calm and at ease. What is important is everyone may feel different but that is not an indicator of how effective RTT® is because regardless of what it feels like – it’s working – I promise! Some people do not know they have been in hypnosis until they come out of it at the end of the session.

How long does it take?
Each Rapid Transformational Therapy ® session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours +. For that reason, I suggest blocking at least 2 ½ hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed and to allow a quiet period following the session where ever possible.

When will I start to see changes?
There are three types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy ® – every person is different:
Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session.
Cumulative: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.
You may experience a combination of the three.

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue/s?

What makes Rapid Transformational Therapy® amazing is that even if you think you know the cause or reason for your issues, you see it in a new way with your adult wisdom. This is what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. Many clients go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected, so I suggest relaxing and trusting that your inner subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see to allow for your transformation.

What if I go back to scenes that are painful, scary or traumatic?
If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, but you are reviewing it and you are completely safe. You might like to think of it as watching a scene from your past on a TV screen. Nothing can hurt you in hypnosis. You are living, breathing proof that you’ve already survived. That memory or past event cannot hurt you. I will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal that part of your life – you will be okay.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?
The feeling of hypnosis is in the same relaxed sense as when you’re in between being asleep and being awake—the comfortable drifting sensation. If you can fall asleep, then you can be hypnotised. In hypnosis you are completely in control, you can come out of it whenever you like. Also, I’ll be asking you questions and talking to you the whole time so that you know you are entirely safe. 

Can I get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis?
No, this is an ‘old wives’ tale’. You have complete control the entire time ,and during the session you can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave (or stop to go to the toilet). If doing a Zoom session and our call got disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but after a few minutes you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and you’ll come back into full awareness, open your eyes and then you can reconnect the session.

What if I don’t go deeply enough into hypnosis? 
Don’t worry about how deep you go into hypnosis, forget all about that as it’s not important. The depth of the hypnotic state is not linked to results at all. Try not to think about ‘am I in hypnosis, I don’t feel any different, I must not be going under?’ Just tell yourself the truth, which is ‘this is working’ and it absolutely works whether lightly or deeply in hypnosis, it is just as effective, so take that pressure off yourself. Clients often like to interchange the word ‘hypnosis’ to ‘a state of deep relaxation’. If conducting an RTT session I have a pre session priming recording I can send to you on WhatsApp so you get used to my voice and the RTT process prior to your sessions so that worrying if you are ‘deep enough’ is no longer a concern.
Are all sessions confidential?
All contact and sessions are in the strictest confidentiality. Also, I will only contact your GP or other health professionals with your permission.

Do you get the same results on line as face to face sessions?
Absolutely! In this world of social distancing requirements and short notice lockdowns – online sessions via Zoom (or Facetime) are becoming more and more popular and the results are just as transformative as face to face sessions. Online sessions have many advantages – your session is in the comfort of your own home, you don’t need to drive anywhere, worry about parking your car and there are no Covid-19 transmission risks. I have the same incredible results with this technique as I do with face-to-face sessions. Zoom/Facetime are free to use, and I’ll supply you with the links you need to log in to your session plus an email with tips on how to get the most out of your session. 

What is this transformational recording you have mentioned -how do I listen to this and for how long?
No generic hypnotherapy recordings here! The success of RTT is that at the end of the session I will make you a powerful, bespoke transformational recording –using your name and feeding back information from your intake call and your session about how your life looks with your issue resolved. Your job is to tell me what you want – the more specific and exciting your words – the more powerful your end results can be.

I prefer to send your recording direct to your phone on the App ‘WhatsApp’. This makes it so easy to listen to your recording from your phone at least daily (or more) for 21 days minimum post your session and preferably 30 days. Please download WhatsApp prior to our session.

What if our online session gets disconnected?
Disconnections don’t happen often but are possible on either side.
If our online session gets disconnected, you’ll either drift into sleep if you’re very relaxed and after a few minutes you’ll notice that you do not hear my voice and you’ll come back to awareness. You can then relog into the session. I will give you instructions about what to do in the unlikely event of a disconnection via email prior to your session

Can I claim session on my private health care?
Many Australian health care providers cover  clinical hypnotherapy.  I do not have a provider number so you are unable to claim private health rebates with me.

What are your payment options?
Payment can be made via Paypal of direct bank transfer. 
Full payment is required for a session prior to or during your pre session information gathering intake call.

Can I pay in instalments?
Absolutely, if you can’t make the payment in full, message me and we can work something out to suit us both. However, full payment will be required 48 hours prior to your first session so please take this into consideration.

H0w many sessions will I need and what is the cost to work with Sue?
Unlike most standard therapists/hypnotherapist that  limit session times and charge by the hour and offer multiple session – I charge a one off fee and work until your  primary issue is resolved. It means that we can spend as long as is required on your session(s) and  you are not cut short by the clock.  Results happen fast – often in 1-2 sessions but if you require more – I am here for to work with you and provide support.   Its important that we have a conversation  so I can establish if  I think I I can help you r particular prolem  – my  fees will be discussed on my strategy call.
